ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Follows assembly procedures and specifications
Works at different work stations as production needs require; this may involve one or more of the following assembly activities:
Drills, taps, or reams holes
Aligns components, and bolts, screws, clips, rivets or otherwise fastens parts together
Cleans, files, sands, or shapes machined parts
Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
Provides hands-on job function training to co-workers as needed
Conserve resources and supplies to facilitate minimum waste
Reports problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials
Maintains a clean, safe and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions
Must understand and comply with Safety, 5S, ISO, and other corporate programs, initiatives and procedures.
Dependable and consistent attendance is critical for team performance and productivity.
Having a positive team-player attitude with the ability to lead as a positive role model.
Performs data collection and input for production metrics including safety, quality, and delivery
Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school or GED or equivalent and one year experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
Blueprint reading - ordinate and GD&T preferred
Ability to read and interpret Bills of Material (BOM's) required
Knowledge of basic measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) preferred

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents and instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to accurate count as well as add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS
None

COMPUTER SKILLS
Basic operation skills are required to enable the ability to navigate file folders, use the company intranet, etc.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires the incumbent to stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally and regularly requires walking, sitting, talking, and using hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk/hear. The employee must be able to routinely lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job are close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts within a warehouse/manufacturing environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
