Plumber I (Gilbert, AZ)
Shifts: mon-fri 4am-1:30pm 1st
Mon-Th 2pm-1:30am 2nd
Fri-Sat 5am-5:30pm 3rd

Primary Focus:

The Plumber I will be responsible for the installation & fabrication of plumbing components used in custom HVAC units. He or she will work using safe work practices with items such as, but not limited to: air conditioning, humidifiers, gas lines, water pipes. Other duties will be assigned as necessary.

Specific Accountabilities:
" Assists Electricians, Welders and Assemblers as necessary for projects as time allows.
" Problem-solving skills.
" Able to braze/solder copper pipe " - 21/2".
" Maintains a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance and repair techniques.
" Able to work with PVC pipe
" Experience with power tools.
" Performs other assigned work as required.
" Must be able to read blueprints and follow SOP's.
Working Conditions:
" This position requires shop work. When working in the shop, one must exercise caution as this environment presents many naturally-occurring and potentially worker-produced hazards. Safety policies must be always adhered to. Personal protective equipment (i.E., safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and others) must be always worn where required.
" It is very important that the incumbent of this position can work and communicate with prudence, while effectively managing time, completing tasks, and working safely.


Education and Experience:
" High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
" Completion of college/vocational or technical training preferred.
" Appropriate credentials and certifications.
" Possess a valid driver's license.
" Ability to work shift work.
" Ability to work in small spaces.
" Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
" Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allows one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
" Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
" Able to work well under pressure.
" Strong attention to detail.
" Able to deal with people tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
" Other duties as assigned.
