Job Description
The Sanitation Technician is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the plant daily. Position is a critical
part of team ensuring that all equipment, machines and floors are sanitized thoroughly. Follows BRC
guidelines to remain compliant with industry regulations, and strive toward a LEAN manufacturing
methodology for organizing, cleaning, developing, and sustaining a productive work environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Cleaning and sanitizing the plant to ensure sanitary conditions at all times. Cleaning
duties include sweeping, shoveling, and wiping down equipment and panels.
Using manual force, tools, or power tools to move and dismantle equipment to ensure
proper cleaning and sanitization.
Using a pressure washer or power equipment for several hours a day.
Performing weekend deep cleaning on all equipment in the plant.
Strictly adhering to and following all Safety, and Sanitary Standard Operating
Procedures (SSOP).
Excellent Attendance.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. At times.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience working in Sanitation preferred but not required.
Ability to work in both hot and cold environments.
Be a team player willing to perform additional duties as required.
High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Pay Range:
Day - $18.50
Swing - $19.00
Night - $20.00
Hours:
Day 5:00 am 1:00 pm
Swing 1:00 pm 9:00 pm
Night 9:00 pm 5:00 am - Shift starts on Sunday
