ASSEMBLY TEAM LEAD
PORTLAND - NE, OR
We are currently seeking a qualified Assembly Lead to join our team. The Assembly Lead is responsible for guiding, evaluating, and training the warehouse team (up to 10 workers) in a fast pace environment. Assembly Leads will have a strong presence on the assembly floor, continuously driving improvements and efficiency as they are overseeing multiple tasks at once. This is a warehouse job and any candidate should be prepared to work in the heat of the summer and the cold of the winter and should dress accordingly. A good fit for this position will be: highly motivated, eager to learn and grow with the company, willing to think outside the box to maximize productivity and has a strong leadership background.
" Monitors individual performance and provide appropriate feedback, encouragement, and discipline when necessary.
" Document all team members work though out the day to ensure proper billing to the jobs worked.
" Train and assist on Assembly floor to ensure proper procedures and protocols are followed.
" Monitor and Track warehouse inventory.
" Lead by example with a solution-oriented approach toward problem solving.
" Palletize products to ship out correctly and on time.
" Work hand in hand with Supervisors to prototype packaging.
" Participate in weekly meetings with Supervisors and Managers to discuss and plan for the week ahead. (Tuesday Mornings)
" Reading and Comprehending Quality Control sheets
" Relaying information to general workers
" Basic warehouse clean-up
" Assists with other tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.
" 2 years in a direct leadership role - leading a small team
" Ability to jump between multiple jobs/ clients
" Moderate experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
" Detail Oriented
" Ability to work with different personalities
" Effective communication skills, Written and Verbal
" Ability to do simple math quickly and accurately
" Experience in a warehouse environment
" Experience working with multiple types of products (Wood, Metal, Plastic ECT.)
" Strong communication skills both written and verbal
" Excellent Time Management skills and the ability to multi task
" Keen Eye for detail
" Experience using hand and Power tools
" Pay: 15.00 H/R
" Support in relevant training courses
" Casual work environment
