An Assembly Supervisor is responsible for directing assembly teams to implement the specified assembly and packaging solutions of all articles before they are shipped. The Assembly Supervisor must be a team leader and proficient organizer of people, projects, and timelines. They possess a good understanding of technical drawings and are able to identify and implement best practices in the assembly process. They work in a collaborative role with the Assembly Manager, project management, logistics, and rollout teams. Assembly Supervisor must be highly organized planners, excellent communicators, and team players.

Assembly Supervisor Key Responsibilities

" Successfully manage fixture assembly operations including timelines, budgets, and project staffing.
" Lead assembly teams and enforce program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
" Maintain a pleasant working atmosphere in sync with our company values as well as a safe and clean environment and workspace.
" Provide recommendations on packaging technology, process and materials to implement optimized packaging solutions.
" Inspect all components for quality (dims, materials, surface finishes, defects)
" Review specifications and requirements to assure packaging solutions comply with expectations
" Maintain assembly related documentation and specifications
" Test all packaging solutions to ensure protection for transport

Qualifications

" Knowledge of packaging technologies, materials, assembly manufacturing processes, package design rules and assembly rules.
" Team-leader able to motivate his group to a level of high performance and excellent quality
" Self-motivated, goal oriented and confident team player.
" Organized and efficient multitasker with excellent time management skills.
" Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
" Detail oriented and able to learn from past experience.
" Able to quickly learn specifics about our industry including materials, production processes, retail environments, etc.
" Keen attention to detail
" Familiar with and able to use various hand tools

Job Requirements

" Background in Quality Control, Business Management, or Manufacturing preferred.
" Minimum 3 years of experience as a leader of assembly operations, preferably in retail fixtures
" Advanced level of MS Office knowledge is a must
" Adobe Acrobat Professional
" Experience with ERP Software is a plus
