ASSISTANT INVENTORY COORDINATO
PORTLAND - N, OR
a. This position will insure the security and accuracy of our physical inventory, including packaging, raw and finished products. The Assistant Inventory Coordinator will take inventory counts, enter packouts, and verify all inventory paperwork. Work will be performed on our custom database system, including data entry and analysis work, to identify errors, research corrective actions and implement new procedures to avoid re-occurrences.
a. Monitor inventory accuracy by conducting regular physical inventories or through a cycle-counting system.
b. Identify discrepancies in the inventory records and conduct an analysis to determine the root cause of the count error.
c. Generate daily, weekly, and month-end inventories of packaging, raw and finished products.
d. Communicate daily with the Procurement Manager and Warehouse Manager on low stock and cycle count results.
e. Assist Warehouse Manager with any shipping issues including transportation issues with both Tricont and 3rd party carriers.
f. Ensure all paperwork is complete accurately and on time.
g. Follow all plant safety programs.
3. Minimum Skills Required
a. High School Diploma or equivalent.
b. Previous warehouse experience.
c. Previous Fork Lift certification.
d. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards for warehouses.
e. Inventory experience.
f. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.E. Word, Excel, and Outlook).
g. Excellent communication skills (i.E. Oral and written).
h. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
i. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
4. Preferred but not Essential
a. 2 year College Degree or equivalent experience.
b. Bi-lingual: English and Spanish (i.E. Oral and written).
