The purpose of the CNC operator position is to produce machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, maintaining equipment and supplies.
Duties and responsibilities:
" Operate multiple CNC machines.
" Verify all paper work matches the product.
" Accurately maintain the CNC log book.
" Aid the shop helpers with setting and deburring parts when needed.
" Verify tools are fresh and maintained for each process.
" Verify the standard operating procedures are up to date with current processes.
" Must be pro-active in questioning and verifying part commitments are being made.
" Daily upkeep on the CNC machines.
" High School Diploma.
" At least one year of experience operating CNC machines.
" Experience with measuring tools (Calipers, micrometers, pin gages, etc.).
" Knowledge of CNC tooling.
" Basic math skills.
" Basic knowledge of G, D, and T symbols. Not required, but a plus.
" A working knowledge of G & M codes. Not required, but a plus.
" Effective use of problem solving and decision making skills.
" Prior experience running a CNC Mill.
" Prior experience operating Fanuc controllers
" Prior experience operating 5-axis CNCs. Not required, but a plus.
Company operates as a 24/7 shop with mandatory overtime. The shift you are put on will depend on the needs of the shop at that time. The candidate will need to be prepared to work on their feet for a full eight to twelve hour shift and continually lift material up to fifty pounds. The successful candidate will be working in the CNC machine shop and will be required to follow the company's safety rules while working on the shop floor.
