CUTTING OPERATOR DAY

The Cutting Operator is responsible for operation of the cutting table as well as ensuring all cutting procedures are being followed by cutting team. The Cutting Operator will ensure Cutting is producing a high quality product that is getting to the internal/external customer on time. The operator is responsible for following processes, policies, and procedures. Safety, Quality, and productivity will be a daily focus. The operator will communicate relevant information to his/her team members as well as the supervisor. The operator is responsible for all quality, reporting, and directing of Cutting team.
Ensure Cutting team is working safe, wearing proper PPE, and following all plant safety policies and reporting all injuries immediately no matter how minor
Regularly lift 70 lbs.
Understands and can execute all operations of the Cutting table and Ashton seaming
Complete understanding of all products, paperwork, and labels
Ensure Cutting table is being ran efficiently
Ensure all paperwork working is properly filled out
Maintain good communication with all departments on shift through the use of radio, verbal, and documentation including hand off between shifts
Perform quality checks and preventative maintenance
Follow all plant policies and procedures
Maintain Equipment, report any needed repairs to shift supervisor, document any repairs or issues in operator log.
Continually expand understanding and knowledge of glass cutting, common defects, quality adjustments
Ability to train all positions associated with cutting department
Over Time Required to meet business needs
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Operating experience: 1+ years manufacturing
Required education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Strong attention to details, Self-motivated, High sense of urgency, strong mechanical aptitude, strong trouble shooting skills , ability to multi-task.
