JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible to oversee the overall operations of the Community Activation & Merchandising team within the assigned territory. The Director of Community Activation & Merchandising is tasked with ensuring all CAMS reps are merchandising retail stores, K-12 schools, and community functions. This includes but is not limited to: delegating duties, scheduling of CAMS associates, cost control, continuous improvement, training, associate relations, conflict resolution, liaison between executive management and CAMS associates, championing a successful department, adhering to and enforcing all policies and procedures.

TERRITORY PLANNING RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director of Community Activation & Merchandising is to oversee the operations of the CAMS which is expected to help ensure achievement of company's sales volume, promotion, and merchandising objectives.
" Hire, train, and develop the CAMS rep team within a specific region.
" Lead the CAMS rep team to merchandising and introducing Wild Mike's into communities in key regions.
" Understand, analyze, and report store Nielsen data.
" Developing and overseeing route planning for CAMS rep teams to efficiently travel to every store, school, and community where product is sold.
" Establishing and following an efficient, economical routing pattern that ensures assigned accounts are contacted and serviced based on account classification and sales potential.
" Knowing and analyzing the company portfolio, accounts, and competitive conditions within the assigned territory for account brands, types and size sales trends, key personnel, purchasing, merchandising, promotional practices and procedures, and sales volume and distribution for brands versus competition in the assigned territory.
" Analyzing the total territory and specific key accounts to determine the priority selling, display building, merchandising, and promotion opportunities.
" Establishing specific, measurable sales and merchandising objectives for the territory and key accounts as well as for each sales call.

MERCHANDISING RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director of Community Activation & Merchandising is expected to train the CAMS team to achieve the effective presentation of WILD MIKE'S brand to the consumer in retail stores, in K-12 schools, and in communities where WILD MIKE'S is sold by:
" Build and maintain strong relationships with store managers, school directors and principles, and key influencers in communities.
" Face, rotate, and properly handle WILD MIKE'S product.
" Distributing WILD MIKE'S gear to consumers who are excited about our brand.
" Achieving effective presentation of WILD MIKE'S brands to the consumer in accounts by space, position, and arrangement and other merchandising objectives.
" Installing and maintaining clean, current point of sale material in high visibility locations.
" Educating consumers on WILD MIKE'S history, quality products and programs, using support and branding materials.
SERVICING RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director of Community Activation & Merchandising is expected to build professional customer relationships and effectively support the WILD MIKE'S portfolio in the process of working with CAMS reps, retail chains, schools, and key influencers within communities:
" Overseeing the operations of servings all retail stores, communication and service to all schools, and additional partnering businesses in key communities.
" Following up on prior commitments for service and support.
" Facilitating the customer's efforts to effectively buy WILD MIKE'S products to maximize customer sales and profits.
" Ensuring pricing accuracy and understanding the competitive landscape.
" Calling on the account with a frequency appropriate to the customer's actual or potential WILD MIKE'S volume and following up with accounts to make sure CAMS reps are present and participating.
COMMUNICATION RESPONSIBILITIES
A Director of Community Activation & Merchandising is expected to serve as an information resource for WILD MIKE'S and as a conduit between the field of CAMS reps and management by:
" Communicating with all CAMS reps, the marketing department, sales managers, store and frozen managers, school directors, brokers, and key influencers daily.
" Communicating information and recommendations to sales managers that will contribute to the development of WILD MIKE'S brand, sales effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. The CAMS department is the eyes and ears of the company.
" Provide management with specific, current information on retail and school problems, opportunities, and results.
" Follow store data and report on wins and losses at the store level.
" Formulating recommendations that will strengthen sales and branding results.
" Submitting required data reports promptly and accurately as directed by management and maintaining up-to-date account data and records as specified by management.
" Maintaining adequate, well-organized inventories of sales tools, brands selling and merchandizing materials.
" Following WILD MIKE'S policies and procedures.
MARKETING EVENTS AND PROMOTIONS RESPONSIBILITIES
A Director of Community Activation & Merchandising is expected to produce and support in store, in school, and communities' events leading to the overall growth of WILD MIKE'S.
" Understanding the landscape of community events happening in key regions and working with both schools and stores to maximize brand exposure.
" Curating and supporting events at key times throughout key regions.
" Act as the liaison between the CAMS rep team and the events department; in terms of executing brand positioning and performance at consumer venues.
" Assist in the communication process for all parties to ensure promotion success and targeted results.
" Oversee and manage the promotion and distribution of WILD MIKE'S branded merchandise.
TRAVEL
Day and overnight travel are required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Four-year college degree preferred combined with outside sales experience and/or grocery store management experience. A combination of education and sales and/or grocery/retail experience will be considered.
