Summary: Responsible for loading extruded products into aging oven. To ensure that the product is heat treated to proper temper and test samples are routed to QA department for certification.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
" Calibrates the Webster Gun/Rockwell Machine and records on daily log
" Visually inspects the cut ends to verify that there is no obvious distortion in the profile, or potential problems with twist and straightness
" Reviews Process Traveler (PT) tag for alloy, temper and finish. Stages all ovens based on Temper. Generates an NMR for mixed racks and returns to the extrusion hold area
" Verifies temperature and record proper temperature/lot number. Verifies and records oven temperature, pulls ovens and verifies the material with shape on the PT tag
" Performs hardness tests and Webster and Rockwell tests for all certified samples and records results in Axapta
" Verifies accuracy of scanned information and the PT tag information. Verifies cycle requirements and times
" Delivers "L" coded material to Tensile Lab with PT and writes NMRs for any "H" coded material
" Reviews materials on hold resampling and testing for minimum requirements. Reheat-treats or sends to lab within assigned timelines as required. Keeps dispositioned hold tags with material as it proceeds downstream
" Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
" Must be able to understand and deliver basic commands in English
" Must have basic math skills, use a calculator and read a tape measure
" Must be able to work cohesively in a team environment
" Must be able to use computer for Axapta and recording information

Special skills required to perform job (machines, tools, equipment):
" Webster Gun, Rockwell Machine, Axapta
" Basic computer skills
" Reading of written instructions
" Operate band saw
" Forklift operation and MEO Certification
" Use of calipers and measuring devices

" Understands that performing job tasks in a safe manner is the highest priority
" Has read and understands department JSA's
" Adheres to all safety rules, guidelines and wears appropriate PPE when required
" Fills out "near miss" paperwork on any unsafe condition or action and reports any unsafe condition or act immediately to supervisor or HSE department
" Responsible for housekeeping and 5S in his or her respective areas of work or areas as directed by the department supervisor
" Cooperates and contributes to the creation of a safe, secure and healthy working environment and to the achievement of the company's environmental obligations and goals
