MACHINE OPERATOR II DAY/SWING

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Sets up and operates equipment such as press brakes, punch presses, etc.
Inspects and measures machined workpieces to verify conformance to specifications
Replaces worn machine accessories such as cutting tools, brushes and
Reports problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials
Provides hands-on job function training to co-workers as needed
Conserve resources and supplies to facilitate minimum waste
Maintain accurate and complete JIT logs.
Maintains a clean, safe and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions
Dependable and consistent attendance is critical for team performance and productivity.
Performs data collection and input for production metrics including safety, quality, and delivery
Support and be compliant to ISO 9001 Quality System
Must understand and comply with Safety, 5S, ISO, and other corporate programs, initiatives
Having a positive team-player attitude with the ability to lead as a positive role model.
Other duties or special projects as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school or GED or equivalent and two years' experience; or equivalent
combination of education and experience;
Prefer Amada sheet metal equipment Experience (Pega, EM, Apelio and RG 50/80);
Blueprint reading - ordinate and GD&T
Competent with usage of basic measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
Ability to read an interpret Bills of Material (BOM's) required
Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to accurate count as well as add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Basic operation skills are required to enable the ability to navigate file folders, use the company intranet, etc.
