Reports to: Engineering Manager
Wage Range: $16.00 - $17.50

Objective
As a key member of the Manufacturing organization, assure all new personnel receive effective training and that existing personnel receive continual training and support to achieve a highly trained work force, meeting company objectives.

Responsibilities
" Perform responsibilities with an awareness of IPCA620, ISO/AS9100, OR OSHA, Lean Manufacturing, customer, and QMS.
" Plans, guides to proficiency, and motivates personnel, under the direction of the Engineering Manager, to meet established objectives for the group.
" Develop new personnel so that they can be integrated into work groups and sufficiently perform processes.
" Monitor, mentor and provide feedback to associates who are involved with their production operations. Monitor the production/assembly process.
" Coordinate with other personnel and departments including interactions between departments and responsibilities.
" Monitor process and quality control to reduce process issues Review ways to prevent recurrence within the process.
" Coordinate with Production staff needs of individuals as part of everyone's growth, project specific needs, etc.
" Support training with initiatives, including QMS, IPCA620, Lean Manufacturing, 6S, OR OSHA, ISO/AS9100
" Inspect product to standards, drawings to also include assembly instructions and BOM's.
" Recognize problems and act appropriately to solve them and to initiate constructive change. Applies basic problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
" Maintains safe work environment that adheres to health (OHA), safety (OR OSHA) and BOLI regulations as well as ergonomic considerations are followed.
" Apprise Manager of any issues/concerns.
" Work with Trainer(s) to assure personnel are proficient with a process, task, etc.
" Performs other related duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager.

Requirements

" Previous experience as a Teacher required, which can be from other countries. Manufacturing experience not required. Utilizes effective communication, organization, and prioritization skills. Possesses leadership skills and thinks outside of the box to implement creative ideas/solutions to enhance manufacturing.
