Objective: The Master Scheduler is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving the Production Scheduling System in an ECi M1 environment. This is a full-time, salaried exempt position reporting directly to the Director of Production

o Implement and maintain basic capabilities of the Production Scheduling system.
o Manage a production job from sales order to finished product using M1.
o Write production orders for manufacture of inventory items to support sales forecast.
o Estimate production load in work centers
o Level out peaks in resource demand to match available resources
o Maintain data integrity
o Enter timecard corrections for production employees. Implement strategies to encourage correct data entry.
o Adjust availability of resources in the MRP system to match actual availability.
o Review actual time required for specific tasks against estimates to ensure accuracy.
o Improve and increase utilization of the MRP system.
o Track, manage & report all internal job progress steps including completion of design & engineering documents, long lead parts ordering, shop floor manufacturing, QC activities, packaging and shipping and final cost.
o Track, manage & report all external job progress steps including customer POs, customer design submittals, delivery schedule changes & invoicing.
o Utilize M1 for scheduling, production reports, job status, setting work center priorities.
o As needed use Crystal Reports to harvest data, create custom reports, and highlight opportunities to improve overall efficiency.
o Help define production KPIs, track progress, and report results.
o Chair production meetings with manufacturing, purchasing, QC, design & operations.
o Work with sales and executive management to forecast customer requirements and estimate required inventory levels.
o Develop and submit customer specific production status schedules to external customers.

o Production planning
o Scheduling techniques, including development and use of master schedules
o Demand management and forecasting
o Production job costing
o Capacity management
o Risk management
o Ability to understand and employ job costing analytics to ensure products are managed with efficiency and cost savings in mind
o Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems. Experience with ECi M1 a plus.
o Outstanding written & verbal communications skills
o Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers.
o Project management proficiency including tracking and reporting on up to 25 concurrent projects.
o Proficient with MS Office suite
o Impeccable work ethic
o APICS or CPIM Certification a plus.
o Practical experience implementing an MRP or Production Scheduling system in an environment where MRP systems had not been in use.

Job Environment
o Frequent exposure to conditions of a manufacturing environment, including loud noise, dust, oils, and solvents
o Personal Protection Equipment must be worn on the shop floor, all PPE provided
o Fast paced manufacturing work environment
