The purpose of this position is to assist in the orientation process for new hires to include daily tasks and organization culture.
The role of the onboarding assistant is to provide a more personal one on one orientation for the new worker. You will assist in providing additional reinforcement instruction and support as to company policies and procedures to new and existing employees. The role is support, not supervision.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide on-the-job training for new, rehired, and existing employees.
Serve as liaison to the administrative staff and the new employee.
Provides information to supervisor and other pertinent administrative staff on job performance of the new employee.
Other duties as assigned by plant management.

Ability to stand and perform job functions at assigned assembly line
Ability to use knife or other hand tool to perform cutting and cleaning functions

Basic counting skills.

FOOD SAFETY & FOOD SECURITY RESPONSIBILITIES:
All persons within the company have responsibilities to ensure that threats to the safety and security of our final product are minimized. Responsibilities for this position include;
Compliance with GH Foods Good Manufacturing Practices [GMPs]
Reporting any unauthorized persons in or about the facility as well as incidents of employee tampering to management.
Understanding basic concepts of food borne illness.
Comply with all food labeling requirements as determined by specific job within company.
Secure outbound and inbound loads are secured as outlined in company policy.
Ensure company rules for inbound and outbound shipments are followed.
