Pull orders for drivers and shipments. Pull orders for walk in customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Must be punctual and to work on the agreed upon time.

Assists all customers (retail and shop) with parts orders in a friendly, professional and efficient manner.

Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.

Provides a high level of service to internal and external customers.

Pulls and fills orders from stock.

Listens for the "Will Call Bell" and pull customer orders and invoice, cash out the customer will cash, check and credit card.

Notify assistant manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.

Notify the customer when special ordered parts have been received.

Follow up on back-ordered parts.

Assist outside sales representatives with their orders.

Receives payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization.

Ensure that all charge sales are signed by the customer.

Ensure that all customers receive their copy of the invoice.

Answer phones, providing information as applicable.
Help keeps the parts department clean and orderly, pick up any garbage on the floor or shelves.

Help keeps the parts department and areas safe from hazards and unsafe work environment. Report any hazards or safety issues immediately to the parts managers.

Issues credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number, is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified.

Tag all cores with customer name, invoice number and your name.

Keep orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special order parts.

Keep front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered.

Clean computer terminals and printers daily.

Participate in all training programs that are made available.

Maintain professional appearance.

MARGINAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Participate with the parts managers in maintaining a lost sales tracking program.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

High School Diploma or GED
Experience in heavy duty trucking or automotive background preferred.
