General Statement of Duties:
This position is responsible the timely and accurate delivery of payroll, including; accurate recordkeeping and reporting. This position is also responsible for assisting with timekeeping, employee onboarding, open enrollment, new employee benefit meetings and enrollments, maintaining payroll records and files, and assisting with general human resources and accounting tasks, as needed.

Essential Functions
h Processes multi-state bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls, consistent with applicable Federal and State laws;
h Conducts appropriate audits to ensure data integrity, including Payroll and Time & Attendance;
h Interprets company policies and government regulations affecting responsibilities;
h Understands and ensures compliance of payroll taxation, garnishments and other pay and benefits;
h Conducts new hire and benefit orientations, as needed;
h Collects and processes benefits enrollments and changes and sets up new benefit deductions for employees in the appropriate pay period for deductions;
h Manages benefit provider accounts and audits enrollment information for accuracy and reconciles monthly employee benefit insurance billings;
h Assists with annual open enrollment employee benefit meetings;
h Corresponds, as needed, with the ADP for any payroll-related software, time clock, and data entry issues that arise, and sees the issues through to resolution;
h Completes all required responses to various State and Federal agencies and third parties regarding child support orders, tax liens, tax reports, employment verifications, garnishments, and unemployment in a timely manner and accurate manner;
h Reconcile, verify and pay vendor invoices for employee and employer paid deductions.
h Receives, validates, calculates and remits garnishments to employee wages;
h Inputs, updates, and processes sensitive employee information requiring absolute confidentiality and professionalism;
h Maintains records, including filing and general organization, record retrieval, archiving and purging;
h Creates, maintains, and verifies various daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting;
h Provides administrative support to the CFO;
h Documents work procedures;
h Assists in continuous improvement initiatives to automate tasks and increase efficiencies;
h Inspires and promotes teamwork and positive morale;
h Maintains honest and ethical conduct;
h Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge, skills and abilities required
h Must have knowledge of the policies, regulations, and laws governing payroll;
h Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information;
h Ability to learn and become the expert in the payroll and HRIS system, and software tools;
h Requires intermediate to advanced Excel and data analysis skills;
h Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to assist all levels of employees, including executives, directors and third-party stakeholders such as auditors;

Education and/or Experience
h At least 3 years of experience administering multi-state payroll and time & attendance; and an associate s degree with an emphasis in accounting, finance, business, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating the skills, knowledge, and ability required to perform the essential functions of this job;
h Requires strong proficiency in the use of a variety of software including Excel, Word, Outlook and one or more payroll systems (e.G., ADP Workforce Now);
h Requires in-depth knowledge of payroll and tax administration;
h Knowledge of Federal and State employment, payroll and benefits laws. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential
