PHARMACY PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN

Essential Duties:
Include, but are not limited to the following. Management reserves the right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time.
o Build compliance units for top veterinary care products from bulk packages into individual single unit envelopes
o Repackage dosage forms from bulk bottles into amber vials for dispensing in the pharmacy using pharmacy packaging equipment
o Package all products with care, accuracy and attention to detail
o Meet the Production needs of the Pharmacy and subsequently, our clients.
o Retain, review, and file production documents in an appropriate time frame with accuracy
o Work with hand held scanning devices for processing work orders, storing and moving products
o Place short dated products and/or damaged product in quarantine as appropriate
o Utilize hand trucks, conveyors, and all packaging equipment with care after training is completed
o Ensure the safety, cleanliness and security of the production work environment
o Participate in all scheduled Pharmacy inventories
o Assist in recycling efforts for the department
o Truly embrace change, as more automation is utilized in Production to work more efficiently
o All other tasks as assigned

Experience and Qualifications:
o Dispensing skills: should be accurate, efficient, and detail-oriented
o Problem solving skills: should be adaptable, thorough, and innovative
o Possess strong team building skills; should be positive, respectful, and dependable
o Keyboarding skills; proficient in Microsoft office
o Must adhere to policies and procedures, be accountable, and be committed to continuous quality improvement
o Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
o Team oriented and works well with others
o Accurately excels at repetitive tasks for long periods of time
o Capacity to start and stop projects seamlessly, despite frequent interruptions, while maintaining attention to detail

Special Working Conditions:
o Ability to stand and focus on detailed work for long periods of time
o Light to moderate lifting may be required
o The noise level in the work area is normally quiet to moderate
o Ability to tolerate an environment where pets could be present in the office areas of the business

Education/Experience:
o High school diploma or equivalent
o Current Oregon Certified Pharmacy Technician license from the Oregon Board of Pharmacy
