Production Assembly Technician
Reports to: Reports to assigned Production Facilitator as directed by Engineering Manager
Responsible for carrying out assembly work processing parts to established requirements, into sub-assemblies and finished product as well as other functions as determined by training records and workflow demands, including but not limited to:
" Primary Responsibilities
o Attend work consistently and communicate absences as far in advance as possible.
o Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures.
o Follow safety guidelines or as directed by supervisors, trainers and management.
o Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process.
o Take precision measurements to ensure fit of components per specifications.
o Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications.
o Align material and put together parts to build more complex units.
o Check/inspect output to ensure highest quality.
o Review calibration or shelf-life markings on equipment and materials.
o Maintain equipment in good condition.
o Keep records of production quantities and time.
o Report on issues, malfunction, or defective parts.
o Other tasks as assigned by immediate Supervisor and/or Production Manager.
" Secondary Responsibilities
o All Q&D employees are expected to participate in the cleaning team.
o Assist with inventory counts and control as needed.
o Participate in company-wide training sessions.
o Work directly with engineering personnel to build new products or test and develop new processes.
o Previous electronics assembly or production experience (preferably cable/harness assembly)
o Good basic work skills, interpersonal skills to include must be friendly, courteous, flexible and enjoy working with a variety of staff.
o Must be detail-oriented and work effectively while meeting all applicable deadlines with problem solving abilities
o Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision; work well under pressure; able to manage multiple projects.
o Capable of processing basic math equations, understands measurements in both fraction and decimal. Capable of reading and comprehending low to medium level technical documents as well as basic reading level.
