PORTLAND - NE, OR
This position plays a key role in our spice program, by repacking spices and blends. Ensure accuracy in labeling, weighing and lot number tracking. Work to maintain appropriate inventory levels enabling us to fill customer orders.
Duties and Responsibilities
" Re-package dry spices and spice blends, utilizing batch tickets.
" Accurate tracking of lot numbers from raw ingredients to batch ticket.
" Operate large automatic scale and heat sealer properly and safely.
" Participate in spice blending as necessary.
" Accurately complete QA portion of batch ticket.
" Follow proper storage guideline for spices and containers/packaging.
" Ensure that daily orders are filled by review of Production Planning tool.
" Demonstrate a commitment to company's food safety and sanitation practices and guidelines.
" Follow company GMP's, SOP's and SSOP's.
" Label containers or bags, ensuring accuracy in product specifications & lot numbers.
" Generate labels as necessary, utilizing the label maker and printer.
" Ensure that product weights meet product specifications.
" Use all equipment properly, according to manual operation documents. Keeps equipment clean to ensure sanitation and food safety.
" Maintain cleanliness of spice production area.
" Follow all proper procedures for station & equipment set-up and clean up.
" Assists in dishwashing and other tasks as necessary.
" Observe all facility and company policies as listed Handbook.
" Observe all policies as communicated.
" Promote safety in the workplace.
" Work efficiently.
" Wears proper uniform at all times.
" Maintain a positive and collaborative environment.
" Maintain an excellent attendance record.
" Knowledge/awareness of general food safety practices. Previous experience in a food service environment helpful.
" Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
" Demonstrate attention to detail.
" Ability to work well with others.
