The Sanitation Support will contribute to the effective operation of the warehouse by maintaining clean and sanitary standards of the facility. This is accomplished by performing cleaning and maintenance duties in a professional, efficient, proactive and safe manner within the policies and procedures of the company.
Duties and Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize containers for Fresh Alliance.
Clean the warehouse as needed to support sanitation objectives.
Perform light maintenance duties like minor repairs, change light bulbs, unclog sinks and toilets, change water filters and painting.
Assist with landscaping and grounds keeping projects as assigned.
Observe and report interior and exterior facility maintenance needs.
Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED with minimum of 6 months experience in facilities maintenance.
Skilled in the operation of standard warehouse cleaning equipment.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to speak clearly over the phone and walkie-talkie radio.
Attention to detail and pride of ownership of work.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to pass criminal background check.
Work is performed in warehouse with a significant amount of walking on concrete surfaces. Work conditions during the summer months can be very hot, and during the winter very cold. Workspace could be very dusty, and on occasions can be noisy due to the traffic of motorized vehicles operated in the building. Employee will be exposed to cleaning chemicals and solutions. Employee may be exposed to spoiled food and sharp objects due to emptying garbage. Work involves cleaning and employee must lift, bend, stoop, pick up and move objects up to 30 to 50 pounds.
