SCALE OFFICE CLERK
ALL LOCATIONS, OR
Primary Function: Under the direction of the Operations Coordinator, assist in coordinating the scale office activities, while following the standards set forth in the company Mission Statement, the company Policies and Procedures Handbook, and the company Safety and Health guidelines.
Possess knowledge of the truck scale operation to ensure that trucks are weighed in/out accurately.
Record shipment data for tracking, accounting, and accuracy.
Accountable for daily basic bookkeeping, including reconciliation of daily till.
Compile, copy, sort, and file records of office activities, business transactions, and other activities.
Compute, record, and proofread data and other information.
Maintain and update filing, mailing, and database systems in ROM.
Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or
explain information, and address complaints.
Answer telephones, direct calls, and take messages.
Willing to perform other incidental duties as required and assigned by management.
Skills and attributes:
High School diploma or equivalent, or a combination of training and experience with one year as a receptionist.
Convey information effectively both verbal and written.
Able to work independently and as a team.
Possess strong customer service skills.
Detail oriented, responsible, and reliable.
Computer skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word) and 10.Key by touch.
While working in an office environment; some repetitive mechanical and office machine work.
Light lifting, continuous computer dexterity; pushing, pulling, walking, standing, kneeling, twisting, vision, hearing, talking and ability to drive an automobile.
