The Receiver/Stocker position is responsible for the timely storing of freight and dock work to meet company standards of safety, security, and productivity. This position is expected to stock all items correctly and completely, as directed by the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Ensures that all receiving documents and functions are completed accurately. Locate and process all bills of lading. Inspect freight for damage and short shipments and document all variances on the bill of lading before signing for delivery. This position is responsible for signing onto and selecting the correct work process from a wireless hand-held device. Utilizing a Radio Frequency (RF) hand-held device during the replenishing process. Correctly select product to be stocked from the receiving lanes through use of a wireless hand-held device. Moving product to storage areas with proper equipment and efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate area as directed by the WMS. Operating any material handling equipment safely and efficiently as required. Operating narrow-aisle stand-up rider lift trucks in performance of stocking duties as required. Maintaining a minimum standard for productivity and accuracy as determined by management. Reporting any damage to electronic hardware, work machines, or the warehouse immediately to a supervisor. On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on equipment. Conducting operations in a manner, which promotes safety. Comply with OSHA safety standards. Reliable and regular attendance is required. Overtime as required.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Replacing battery on wireless device if needed. Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist with consolidation and wrapping of pallets as needed. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred but not required. Data-entry experience is preferred but not required.
This position requires the ability to perform simple math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
This position requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. The ability to read and understand Radio Frequency scanning devices.
This position requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. The ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registration:
Training and certification on forklifts and narrow-aisle stand-up rider lift truck that conforms to OSHA safety training requirements. Training will be provided by the company as needed.
