PORTLAND - NE, OR
Position description: The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is primarily responsible to perform the coordination of outbound shipments, booking transportation from suppliers to end destinations, and receiving in-bound materials.
Major areas of Responsibility:
" Fill customer and job orders in an accurate and organized manner
" Receive products, following authorized procedures
" Package and ship outbound products to customers, job-sites and suppliers.
" Arraigning, coordinating, and quoting freight shipments (UPS, FedX, LTL) to and from suppliers, customers and job-sites, utilizing PermaCold approved transportation sources
" Build valve tags
" Track freight shipments
" Serve as a back-up to all warehouse positions
" Other special projects as assigned by the warehouse manager.
" Work in a safe and healthy manner at all times
" Strictly follow all warehouse procedures
" Work cohesively and collaboratively with the warehouse team that supports all PermaCold divisions and departments
" Work as a team member of the Supply Chain department, with a respectful code of conduct, striving for the highest results.
Required knowledge, skills and Abilities:
" Minimum high school diploma or GED
" 3-years of warehouse experience is preferred but not required
" Forklift experience (preferred, but not required)
" Good written and verbal communications skills
" Customer service oriented
" Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
" Must have the ability to stand, lift, bend continuously for the entire 8-hours shift
" Physical requirements include the ability to stand and walk, lift and carry items weighing up to 60 lbs.
