Job Description
(Electrical
Assembler)
1st shift and 2nd shift
Pay:$19-21 (plus
differentials
when
applicable)
Description:
Read blueprints and wiring diagrams and build electronic
components from a blueprint.
Make recommendations for replacement or modification of
electronic equipment and repair and/or replace electronic
components.
Maintain and calibrate instruments and equipment.
Set up and perform circuit tests.
Apply knowledge of current electrical code and CSA standards.
Ensure quality of the product.
Performs all duties in accordance with company standards
Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational
Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.
Other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Completion of college degree or diploma at a vocational or
technical training
2-3 years of related experience is an asset.
Knowledge and experience using power & hand tools.
Knowledge of RF, high voltage, analogue, and digital components.
Excellent organizational, communication (both written and oral) &
interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Knowledge of transformers, relays, magnetic contactors, and
motor protectors is an asset
Knowledge of PLC is an asset.
Working Conditions
Commercial/Industrial environment.
Manual dexterity required to use necessary tools.
Exercise caution, as the environment presents many naturally
occurring hazards.
Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment).
Long periods of standing.
Overtime as required.
