Job Description

This company has been working in the transportation industry for 35years making various flatbeds and vans. They are currently in NPDX and are moving to Washington.

Looking for a Fabrication Coordinator
Shift: M-Th 5:45am- 4:30pm + OT
train in Portland then move to the WA location

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
" Perform all duties of the Production and Welding/Fabrication Specialist required in the sub-frame and rear framework centers at an expert level.
" Provide, train and clearly communicate SWI sequencing and quality standards for the sub-frame and rear framework centers and ensure strict team adherence to these practices.
" Assist Production Manager in building production schedule and meeting customer's demand for product and lead-times.
" Analyze Materials Requirement Plans and deploy resources to ensure no truck body goes into production without all fabricated materials available in advance of their use on the assembly line.
" Interview potential new team members and motivate, coach, and train team members to safely complete their work assignments according to the SWI while meeting the established line pace (or forecasted process time) and product quality expectations.
" With minimal direction, troubleshoot and solve production problems affecting the employees' ability to meet the production schedule at pace and the product quality expectations.
" Ensure that CAD files for all parts are available, and that all files used to produce parts are accurate and match the final product.

Job Requirements

" High-school diploma, GED and/or relevant experience
" basic entry level computer skills in MS Outlook, Work, Excel
" Ability to motivate and coach employees to grow and stretch themselves without showing favoritism towards employees.
" Effective oral and written communication skills for training employees and updating standard work instructions. Bi-lingual skills are a plus
" Ability to safely operate all the various hand and pneumatic tools, power tools, cranes, measuring devices, forklift, fabrication equipment and MIG welders.
" Must pass pre-employment drug test and annual random retesting
" must have your own transportation and valid drivers' license.
" Lift, carry, push, pull 75lbs
