Job Description

$19-$23 per hour depending on experience. This will be a day shift Mon-Fri either 7 am to 3 pm or 8 am to 4 pm and includes a 30-minute paid lunch.
Due to the nature of business and a heavy industrial market, the company deems this position to be safety-sensitive.

Summary: Performs essential job functions under minimal supervision.

Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to the following.

" Monitors and maintains current inventory levels; processes purchasing orders as required; tracks orders and investigates problems.
" Records purchases, maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports.
" Receives, unpacks, and delivers goods; re-stocks items as necessary; labels shelves.
" Processes and/or approves invoices for payment.
" Processes and documents returns as required following established procedures.
" Performs routine clerical duties, including data entry, answering telephones, calling vendors and placing orders.
" Works with vendors and contractors as required to retrieve quotes for ordering replacement items from inventory and other consumables.
" Confer with engineering and purchasing personnel and vendors regarding stock procurement and availability.
" Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock.
" Assists with all general maintenance duties including painting, cleaning, fixture/tooling fabrication, installing belts, bearings, chains, etc.
" Assists with facilities maintenance as needed/required/directed.
" Brings any unusual problem or irregularity to his/her supervisor and offers up solutions or potential resolutions to issue.
" Promotes and practices safety and good housekeeping procedures.
" Must comply with the EMS (Environmental Management System) Standard requirements.
" Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
" Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism.

" Education - High school diploma or equivalent.
" Minimum 1-2 years of experience in inventory, warehousing, or shipping/receiving.
" May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
" Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate the English language.
" Must be able to perform basic math calculations.
" Knowledge of basic computer skills is required.
