The temp assignment will likely go through November or December. The pay will be $20-$22/hr

Position Overview:
The Inventory Control Specialist will maintain inventory, ordering and restocking necessary items while maintaining accurate records of all procurement. This position will also support material handling activities and training as required.

Major responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Maintain consistent stock of inventory, initiating restocking orders up to pre-authorized limit as
inventory dwindles
2. Report low on-hand quantities, stock-out s and shortages to all impacted departments and assists in further communication regarding part shortages
3. Assess inventory report, projected demand and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery
4. Provide inventory reports to purchasing and inventory control manager as requested
5. Develop working relationships and good communication with team members
6. Coordinate the building of accessories for production based upon production schedule and set kanban levels
7. Maintain accuracy of inventory system; facilitate upgrades to related software and/or hardware under the direction of the Purchasing Manager or Director of Supply Chain
8. Implement and enforce regular weekly cycle counting to improve accuracy of inventory quantities, and variance spot checking when required to determine root cause and corrective actions
9. Pull kits and issue materials as needed to backfill material handling and/or to provide adequate training to material handler associates.
10. Assist other departments upon request for stock checks and other inventory inquiries
11. Assist production with efficient material flow and staying organized

Skills, Education, and Certifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
Experience with computerized inventory systems required, along with proficient keyboarding skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to give clear and complete directions to others. Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision. Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with outside vendors. Ability to perform basic math calculations.
