IT DIRECTOR
Job Description
Located east of Clackamas, our client is a key player in the horticultural industry and one of the largest nurseries in the nation. We are seeking an IT Director to supervise the System Administrator, manage the IT department, and oversee all database functions.
Essential Functions:
Maintain and revise IT Department policies as needed.
Establish and maintain network users, user environment, directories, and security.
Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of all software and hardware.
Maintenance of backup files and licensing agreements.
Data Analysis and presentation.
Serve as primary contact for outside software vendors.
Establish and monitor annual department budget.
Supervises the System Administrator (provide daily work direction, approve absences/overtime, performance evaluations, etc.)
Job Conditions:
Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm + on-call
Requires some local travel

Requirements:
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science
1-2 years of experience as a department supervisor
2-4 years of experience in programming and network administration
Skills:
Advanced knowledge of computer network applications, database programming, and SQL database management
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to define problems, collect data, and analyze information
