Job Description
What are we looking for?
The Milk Processor is responsible for; organizing the fluid, raw receiving and pasteurizing operations and to give direction to optimize the fluid operation efficiencies. They must have the ability to make decisions promptly and efficiently as well as be able to work effectively with management personnel.
9:30PM to Finish (around 5am), Wednesday and Sunday off.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties:
" Operate multi-function packaging equipment.
" Confirm and troubleshoot all functions going on the fluid and raw receiving rooms.
" Make necessary adjustments or changes as required to production and pasteurizing plan.
" Ensure that all shift logs of production, weights, carton integrity, code dates, down times and lot numbers for the milk and drink processing and packaging are being maintained and kept up to date.
" Ensure that all C.I.P. Char recording for washing as sanitizing are being completed.
" Ensure that all chemical testing is being done and completed properly.
" Ensure that all HACCP responsibilities are being done and documented.
" Verify product quality and make any adjustments where and when necessary.
" Verify daily York calibration check is completed.
" Take samples and have them tested, review results and quality records.
Physical Demands / Working Conditions:
" Lift 50lbs occasionally.
" Push/Pull 50lbs of force.
" Must be reliable and available to work extra hours and/or overtime as needed and be available to flex hours.
" Noise level is moderate to loud.
" Subject to walking, standing, repetitive motions including stooping, finger work, grasping with hands/wrists, reaching, bending, climbing, handling, hearing and talking.
" Safety training, handling chemicals, pallet truck, good manufacturing practices, personal protective equipment, and HACCP training.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
" Six months plus production/warehouse experience, required.
" Knowledgeable in all aspects of the fluid filling, pasteurizing, raw receiving and shipping operations, preferred.
" Maintain valid Pasteurizer's license, company provides training and costs associated with testing.
" Ability to train others and give proper guidance.
" The ability to work steadily and safely in a fast-paced environment.
" Read and understand written specifications and instructions.
" Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and dependability in completing assignments accurately.
" Some mechanical aptitude for maintaining the equipment.
" Math skills.
