High-pressure role with a lot of steps and requires excellent attention to detail, plus good English and math skills to be able to follow detailed work instructions and formulas. There is also a lot of lifting involved - emptying buckets of ingredients into the drum.

The mayonnaise/dressing mixer is responsible for the preparing food product in accordance with the formula and processing specifications. Products are prepared and tested to assure compliance with written formula specifications. The mayonnaise and dressing mixer must work well and communicate effectively with other co-workers.

Major Duties

1. Follow production formula in preparing products to meet required specifications.
2. Perform analytical test as required to assure compliance with formula specifications.
3. Record tests results on the appropriate form. Reports any out of specification test results or conditions to the foreperson and or quality assurance department.
4. Report to production foreperson and or maintenance department any equipment deficiency or malfunction.
5. Communicate with appropriate personnel regarding the timely delivery of raw materials to the work station in order to assure efficient operations.
6. Responsible for the delivery of the correct product to the correct location to assure continued and efficient operations.
7. Responsible for providing and documenting oil temperature process chart recorder records.
8. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
9. Assure all tasks are performed in a safe manner.
10. Read ingredient lot numbers and records on the appropriate form.
11. Responsible for sanitizing equipment to ensure efficient startup.
12. Check all pipefittings and connections on production equipment to the product delivery point. Tighten all connections as required.
13. Carry out the rework of designated "Hold" products as instructed.
14. Teardown and re-assembly of colloid mill as needed.
15. Perform additional duties as directed.
16. Follow all Safety, associated SOP's and LOTO guideline and programs.
17. Comply with all Food Safety policies, procedures and regulations including GMP's, Quality Assurance procedures, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point and GFSI/SQF level 2 or other 3rd party audit criteria as they apply to this position.


Required Qualifications

EDUCATION / SKILLS:
1. Must have the ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
2. Must have the ability to add, subtract, divide and multiply using a basic calculator.
3. Must be able to utilize time in an efficient manner and work with limited supervision.
4. Must be qualified to operate forklifts in a safe and efficient manner.
5. Must possess a mechanical aptitude and ability sufficient to maintain line efficiencies and to assist maintenance in trouble shooting diagnostics in the event of a mechanical deficiency.
