Shift - M to Fri 7am to 330pm
Exp - SAP, good communication, Excel

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Production Assistant 1 handles day-to-day administrative tasks including report generation, communications with floor, status updates, budget files in excel, expense recording, other tasks as assigned by the production manager.

Requirements:
high school diploma or GED
basic to advanced excel skills
1 year manufacturing experience
accuracy and attention to detail
May lift up to 30 lbs
Eligible to work in an ITAR environment

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates moderately independent decision-making skills on day to day scheduling and production support tasks. Handle a wide variety of administrative support duties.

Receives projects in email and in person, provides email feedback on master and production planning questions, availability and lead-times as directed by Manager.

3. Works closely with engineering and production managers to collect daily data and created needed reports.
4. Understands the importance of On Time Delivery (OTD) and provides weekly updates.
Reports budget status as needed as well as other information from SAP (orders, purchases, expenses,
deliveries, shipments, labor etc).

Collects and updates relevant reports with orders and delivery information from production and/or planners Data entry into SAP and excel daily.

Manages heavy email communication on the status of production order and/or work in process,
shipments, and master plans.

8. Addresses questions by phone and email daily in an effective and responsive manner.
Runs reports as directed by manager. May need to be resourceful to collect data from a variety of departments and source documents.

May be trained as a backup for cycle counting, stocking, packaging, part number log, inventory, wip reporting, logistics, audits and/ or order entry.

11. Trained as ITAR drawing custodian with access to ITAR drives and procedures.
May support a variety of production support tasks and short term projects. Model safety rules and P5S practices on the floor.

May be required to wear PPE (personal protective Equipment); must be comfortable walking and standing on the production floor daily.

14. May help coordinate on and offsite events such as employee events, audits, or customer visits.
15. Monitors SAP for status multiple times a day.
16. Creates meaningful, accurate reports and PowerPoints as assigned.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; E.G. Data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
