SAFETY MANAGER
Job Description
The Safety Manageris responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing company's employees safety at work. Their main duty is to ensure that the company is in compliance and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines to reduce work-related injuries.
Safety Manager duties and responsibilities:
" Implementing OHS policies and programs
" Inform employees of various safety-related topics
" Review existing policies and procedures
" Conduct risk assessments, daily
" Enforce preventative measures
" Ensure all the employees are acting in adherence with company policies and procedures
" Prepare accident, injury and near miss reports as needed
" Oversee workplace repair, installations and any other work that could harm employees' safety
Qaulifications:
" 6 months of experience in a safety related role
" 1 year or more working on a safety committee, preferred
" Some knowledge of legislations and procedures
" Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
" Experience with writing policies and procedures for health and safety
" Comfortable using MS Office; Outlook and Word specifically
" Outstanding organizational skills
" Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
" Team player
" Good time-management skills
" Great interpersonal and communication skills
