SEMI TRAILER MECHANIC
Job Description
NOW HIRING: Experienced (journeyman) Semi Trailer Mechanic
Pay: $29-$33/hr DOE
Schedule: M-F, 7:30am-4pm
Responsibilities will include:
+ Examines equipment and discusses with Service Writer nature and extent of damage or malfunction.
+ Plans work procedure.
+ Understands air systems, electrical systems, braking (ABS) systems, suspensions and body work.
+ Relines and adjusts brakes, aligns axles, repairs or replaces shock absorbers, replaces suspension springs and/or air bags.
+ Experience with lift gates and/or reefer units a plus
+ Designs and fabricates solution for structural repairs or modification to trailers
+ Repairs interior, floor, exterior panel damage to semi-trailers
+ FHWA certified for annual federal inspections
+ Understanding of allowable times for repairs and accounting for/documenting actions during repair process.

Job Requirements
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of Semi-trailer repair experience required; or equivalent in education and experience.
Requirements:
+ Must have welding experience and your own tols
+ Trailer-related certifications are a plus
+ Strong organizational skills
+ Valid driver's license
+ Pre-employment drug screening and physical
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a noisy environment
