TEST TECHNICIAN
Job Description
The Test Technician, completes work according to instructions, specifications and procedures. Conducts a variety of tests and verifications on electro and electromechanical equipment, while providing accuracy, productivity and on-time delivery.
Shift: M-Th 6am-4:30pm
Pay: $22-25/hr DOE
Job Core Responsibilities
o Performs a range of routine mechanical and/or electromechanical testing of small parts or components in accordance with company instructions and procedures
o Reviews shop traveler route card, or schematic drawings to confirm correct sequence of operation
o Perform a variety of test to verify circuitry and to test effectiveness of components in amplifiers and electronic equipment.
o Receive parts or units from customers and troubleshoots circuits and components using schematic drawings and prints as a verifying check.
o Perform test and diagnostics using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVM, signal generators, power meters, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, frequency counters and other related test equipment
o Sets up test equipment and tests per specification
o Performs troubleshooting and failure analysis of analog and digital circuitry malfunctions to the micro component level
o Provides detailed written failure description with root cause analysis to production and engineering
o Follows written and verbal instructions, adheres to all company guidelines, policies and procedures

Job Requirements
Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field
Years Experience: 2 years or more of relevant experience
Skills:
o Strong electrical background with understanding of microelectronics.
o Strong knowledge in testing, debugging and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies
o Good reading and comprehension skills to understand regulations and instructions
o Ability to analyze and determine methods and procedures
o Good oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
o Proficient Microsoft Windows software applications
Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field
Years Experience: 2 years or more of relevant experience
