Job Description
Openings on Swing Shift: Starting wages: $23.00 - $30 depeinding on experience: Swing Shift: Monday - Thursday, 2:30pm - 1am ($1.25 shift diff)
These are a 90 day probationary to hire
Ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a Welding, Fabricating, and Fitting role or educational/trade school hands-on learning or AAS degree in Welding Technology. Certification is a plus, but not required.
To be considered for this position, you must have the following qualifications:
- Ability to prepare weldments for assembly into structural fabricated products.
- Able to achieve high quality and maximum strength welds with a wide range of metal sizes, with little or no distortion.
- You must have the ability to read blueprints and weld symbols. (Able to pass Allied Weld Exam)
- Experience running 0.45, 0.52, 1/16 wire.
- Rudimentary math skills are required.
- Knowledge of jib and overhead cranes is also essential.
- Fit from blueprint with or without fixtures
- Ability to plan all welding jobs from start to finish, using wide range of metal sizes
- Can work with limited amount of supervision
- Ability to work across multiple product lines (Allied has six different product lines)
- Must be able to wear steel-toed boots and metatarsal guards.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical, background check, drug screen, and respirator exam.
